Getting Buzzed at Tokkuri Tei (Honolulu)
Tokkuri Tei is one of the best izakayas (think Japanese tapas) in Honolulu. We were able to have an amazing dinner there with other food bloggers based in Hawaii, all paid for by FoodBuzz!
Kahoo Restaurant (West San Jose)
We were in the neighborhood so we decided to stop in at Tokushima do Henkotsu for some of their delicious ramen and fried rice. But when we got there, we found that the shop had changed! Apparently the old guy had retired, and there was a newer, “hipper” ramen shop in the same place. We thought we’d stay and test it out. (“You never know unless you try.”) The menu isn’t very extensive, nor expensive. The waitress said her favorite was the miso ramen with vegetables. I got that while Annie ordered the shoyu ramen with vegetables.

Deli Bento Lunch (Austin)
We went to the Sunset Valley Farmer’s Market, south of Austin to have a look-see. It’s a great neighborhood farmer’s market, with lots of organic produce. I liked the raw milk cheddar cheese from Full Quiver Farm but they ran out so I couldn’t take a block home.
We picked up lunch from the Deli Bento vendor to bring back home. I haven’t had a bento in ages!
